Services have been restored to the land-based Shark Warning System (tower) at Mullaloo South, in the City of Joondalup.

If you see a shark, report it to Water Police on 9442 8600.

Alert level:

A shark WARNING has been issued for Blackwall Reach, Swan River after an increased number of reported shark detections.

Update on 11 December 2024

Following yesterday’s reported shark incident, City of Mandurah have reopened Pyramids Beach. 

DPIRD recommends additional caution in the Pyramids Beach area.

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is currently investigating a reported shark bite incident at Pyramids Beach, south of Mandurah.

Update on 2 December at 7:56 am

Following yesterday’s reported shark interaction, Rangers from the City of Greater Geraldton have reopened Greenough River Mouth Beach. 

DPIRD recommends additional caution in the Greenough River Mouth Beach area.

Services have been restored to the land-based Shark Warning System (tower) at Twilight Beach.

Update on 26 November at 6:30 pm

Parks and Wildlife Service officers from the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions have successfully removed the whale carcass from Three Bears Surfing Spot and the beach has been reopened.

Additional caution is recommended by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, as any residue from the whale carcass may still attract sharks to the area.
