A shark ADVICE has been issued, due to a whale carcass being reported at Little Long Point near Walpole.
Update on 29 August at 12.10pm:
Since 24 August in the waters of the Metropolitan beaches between Leighton and Scarborough.
The shark warning for the waters from Leighton Beach to Sorrento Beach remains in place and water users are reminded to take extra caution in the Perth Metropolitan waters.

Alert level:
A shark WARNING has been issued for the area from Leighton Beach to Sorrento Beach in the Perth Metropolitan area after a reported white shark sighting, and a series of tagged white shark detections over the last seven days.

The whale carcass reported on the beach 1km south of the Yanchep town site has now been removed.
Caution is still advised as any residue from where the carcass was beached may still attract sharks to the area.

A shark ADVICE has been issued, due to a whale carcass being reported on the beach approximately one kilometre south of the southern end of the Yanchep town site.
Update on 30 July at 12.45pm:
The Whale Carcass reported at Long Point, Port Kennedy has now been removed.
Caution is still advised as any residue from where the carcass was beached may still attract sharks to the area.

A shark ADVICE has been issued due to a whale carcass being reported, one kilometre south of Long Point, near Port Kennedy.
Update on 24 July at 9.42am:
The whale carcass has been removed this morning by the Denmark Shire.
Caution is still advised as any residue from where the carcass was beached may still attract sharks to the area.

The Whale Carcass reported at Hangover Bay, south of Cervantes has now been removed.

Update on 21 July at 7.50am
The Whale Carcass reported to be at Boranup Beach North of Hamelin Boat Ramp has broken up and is no longer ashore. The site will be further assessed this morning.
As an extra precaution warning signs have remained in place . If there are no further shark sightings, the signs are expected to be removed today.
