The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) has determined that it will not continue to deploy shark capture gear off Sorrento Beach and has concluded the operation.
DPIRD has concluded the on-water and land-based patrols in the Sorrento Beach area.
The Surf Life Saving WA (SLSWA) helicopter has commenced daily patrols from this morning.
Beaches in the City of Joondalup from Marmion to Iluka have reopened.
DPIRD recommends additional caution at Sorrento Beach and the surrounding area.

Following Monday’s reported shark incident, the City of Greater Geraldton have reopened beaches in the Glenfield Beach area.
