The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is currently investigating a reported shark bite incident at Geordie Bay, Rottnest Island.

Officers from the City of Mandurah have now removed the whale carcass from Pyramids Beach near Dawesville in the City of Mandurah.
The beach has been reopened by the City of Mandurah.
Additional caution is recommended by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, as any residue from where the whale carcass was beached may attract sharks to the area.

A shark WARNING has been issued for Ocean Reef in the City of Joondalup after a reported shark interaction.

Parks and Wildlife Service officers from the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions have successfully removed the whale carcass from Donnelly River Mouth, east of Augusta.
Additional caution is recommended by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, as any residue from where the whale carcass was beached may still attract sharks to the area.

A shark ADVICE has been issued for Mandurah water users, due to a technical fault affecting the Surf Life Saving WA (SLSWA) Surf Alert Module at Pyramids Beach, south of Mandurah.

Officers from the City of Karratha have advised that the whale carcass reported at Point Walcott Beach, south of Cape Lambert, near Point Samson is no longer in place.
Additional caution is recommended by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, as residue from where the whale carcass was beached may still attract sharks to the area.
