Shark ADVICE for Yeagarup Beach, west of Windy Harbour

Update on 23 January at 1:35 pm

Parks and Wildlife Service officers from the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) have advised that the whale carcasses located at Yeagarup Beach, west of Windy Harbour are no longer in place.

Additional caution is recommended by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, as residue from where the whale carcasses were beached may still attract sharks to the area.

Shark ADVICE for Lowlands Beach east of Denmark

Update on 21 January at 10:45 am 

Officers from the City of Albany have inspected the area where the whale carcass was located at Lowlands Beach and have advised that it is no longer in place.

Shark warning signs have been removed by the City of Albany.

Additional caution is recommended by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, as residue from where the whale carcass was beached may still attract sharks to the area.

Fisheries officers from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) have inspected the area where the whale carcass was located at Buller River Beach and have advised that it is no longer in place.

Additional caution is recommended by DPIRD as residue from where the whale carcass was beached may still attract sharks to the area.
