Update on 27 July at 2:05pm
Parks and Wildlife Service officers from the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions have completed the incident response regarding the mass whale stranding incident at Cheynes Beach, near Albany. This includes the removal of whale carcasses from the beach.
Additional caution is recommended by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, as any residue from where the whale carcasses were beached may attract sharks to the area.
