Officers from the City of Rockingham have reopened the beach near Port Kennedy Foreshore, east of Bridport Point.

Additional caution is recommended by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, as any residue from where the whale carcass was beached may attract sharks to the area.

If you see a shark, report it to Water Police on 9442 8600.

A shark ADVICE has been issued for Leighton water users due to a technical fault affecting the Surf Life Saving WA (SLSWA) Surf Alert Module at Leighton Beach in the City of Fremantle.

A shark ADVICE has been issued for Gnarabup water users due to a technical fault affecting the land-based shark warning system (tower) at Gas Bay in the Shire of Augusta Margaret River.

A shark ADVICE has been issued for Prevelly water users due to a technical fault affecting the land-based shark warning system (tower) at Surfers Point in the Shire of Augusta Margaret River.

A shark ADVICE has been issued due to a whale carcass being reported at Plumpudding Beach, near Butty Head in the Shire of Esperance.

A shark ADVICE has been issued for Mandurah water users due to a technical fault affecting the Surf Life Saving WA (SLSWA) Surf Alert Module at Pyramids, south of Mandurah.

A shark ADVICE has been issued for Bunker Bay water users due to a technical fault affecting the land-based shark warning system (tower) at Bunker Bay, near Cape Naturaliste.
