Update on 3 October at 11:30 am
Officers from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) continue to monitor the level of reported shark activity.
DPIRD recommends additional caution in the Swan River, near Fremantle following the additional report of schooling sharks near the Fremantle Bridge.
Beach users should adhere to beach closures advised by Local Government Rangers.
It is possible that the frequency and duration of the recent reported sightings may increase the likelihood of encountering a shark in this area.
Switch on your Sea Sense and stay informed of shark activity information by checking the SharkSmart website, download the SharkSmart WA app or follow @SLSWA on X (formerly Twitter).
If you see a shark, report it to Water Police on 9442 8600.
